To assist you with successful printing
of your files, please follow these suggestions for submitting files.
CREATE your files using the
programs listed at the right.
Note: If using versions of
programs other than those listed, or programs with added features (i.e.
"plug-ins"/Quark Xtentions), we may be unable to use your files.
EMPLOY such features as
InDesign's "Package" or Publisher's "Pack and Go." These are very helpful
tools to find and organize all your linked files and fonts.
If these features are not available,
take the following steps:
COPY your current files onto
one of the transfer options listed at the right. Do not send originals. Always save
your work to your hard disk before saving to a transfer disk.
Send all graphics, scans,
logos, clip art, etc. separately. Do not embed graphics.
Include the fonts on disk.
Fonts for each typestyle used in the job are needed.
You can convert type in some programs
to outlines or paths, but keep in mind that text cannot be modified once it
is converted.
A Printed Sample (hard copy,
paper print out, color, or other mock-up) showing the results you expect is
necessary when sending a job on disk. The sample should ideally be printed
out at full size. Please indicate the reduction percentage if your image
does not fit onto your paper. Indicate ink colors. For multi-color files,
additional color separated print outs are desirable.
(Remember, if your files do not print
out properly for you, they probably won't print out properly for us.)
SUBMIT EARLY
If you submit
files using programs not listed here, it may be necessary for us to find a
different way to produce your project or outsource for film output. To avoid
possible delays and extra prepress costs, submit files early for review or
call us to discuss your options before you begin.
