Publisher "Pack & Go"

for Publisher 2003

1. Make a new folder on your desktop and name it.

2. Open the Publisher document, then go to File ] Pack & Go ] Take to a Commercial Printing Service.

3. Follow the Pack & Go Wizard:

When the Wizard asks where to save the packed file, browse to the new folder you just made on the desktop.
Make sure all the boxes are checked:

Embed True Type fonts

Include linked graphics

Create links for embedded graphics

Click Finish to pack the publication.
The Wizard will ask if you want to print a copy. Please print a copy and fax it to us or drop it off so we can be sure that what we unpack looks exactly like your copy.

4. When you open the folder on your desktop, you should see three files inside:

readme.txt

unpack.exe

packed01.puz

All these files are needed for successful unpacking and printing. Do NOT rename these files.

5. Compress the entire folder using WinZip.

6. Attach the zipped folder to email and send, or save it to a transfer disk (CD, Zip disk, or flash drive).

NOTE: When creating your Publisher document, please allow 3/8" margins on all sides. Otherwise, cropping may occur when we print.

for Publisher 2007

1. Create and save your document.

2. With the document open, go to File ] Pack & Go ] Take to a Commercial Printing Service.

3. In the Pack & Go Wizard:

Choose High Quality Printing

4. Click the Printing Options button and choose the appropriate specifications. Make sure crop marks, allow bleeds, and bleed marks are checked.

5. Click OK

In the Wizard window on the left, look at the bottom under Export. Be sure Create a PDF and Copy the publication in a .pub file are checked.

6. Click Save...

7. In the next window, indicate where you want the packed file to be saved.

Publisher will pack and zip the file, and prompt you to print a composite. Please print a copy and fax it to us or drop it off so we can be sure that what we unpack looks exactly like your copy.
